Colossal Castle Contest XII
Hi all,
First up, I just wanted to apologize for my six month hiatus. I've been blogging about LEGO for nine years now, and from time to time I've just gotten a bit run down and distracted from my family of blogs. However, in the meantime, I'm constantly going through Flickr, Brickshelf, and other sites, and probably every day I bookmark a few more things that I keep meaning to post. I've gotten a couple of nice notes asking where I've been, and I guess it's time to come back. Also, during the year I save up LEGO books to review as people are getting ready for Christmas, and want to get those posted. And so, back to blogging. Hopefully I won't have too many interruptions in the near future. I've certainly got a backlog of great creations to feature.
Okay, there are lots of great either recently completed or ongoing. I can't say I'll go back and feature everything from the last six months, but I'd be remiss if I didn't feature my favorite. I'm an admin at Classic-Castle and we're currently holding our annual contest:

The Iron Builder round from the last post started off with a live build-off. The video is a couple of hours long, with lots of AFOLs chiming in and discussing, and I haven't yet watched the whole thing, but the actual build-off starts about 9 minutes in and you can see the initial two MOCs at about 20 minutes.

Description/categories: Okay, the Duplo grass challenge was a joke, but now Siercon and Coral are facing off against Legohaulic and Littlehaulic to build as many MOCs as they can based on Mixels sets and specifically the yellow round 2x1 slope.

ContestBricks - back from the dead
Hey all,
I'm so sorry - I've been on a huge blogging hiatus for months now. While that's bad for my other niche blogs, it's particularly bad for this, which is supposed to be a very timely overview of ongoing contests. A bunch of things have come and gone without me noting them. There's no way I'm going to cover them all, so I'll just select out major contests. Then I'll try to be much better going forward.
